General Public Display License

In Washington State, a person or organization desiring a Fireworks General Public Display License must obtain it from the State Fire Marshal’s Office. This license will allow the holder to perform public displays throughout the year.

To become a General Public Display Operator, you may download the Application for General Public Display License or contact our office at (360) 596-3914 to request the form be sent to you.

If you wish to renew your license, you may download the Application for General Public Display License Renewal or contact our office at (360) 596-3914 to request the form be sent to you.

After completing the two-page form, return it to the address indicated along with the $50 annual licensing fee and proof of the required insurance to our office. Once approved, a General Display License will be sent to the person or organization.

When you need them, you can download the Request For Public Display Permit Form or contact our office at (360) 596-3914 to have the form sent to you.

As a General Public Display Licensee, there is no additional cost to you for the Public Display Permit. Once you have been sent the Public Display Permit Form, simply take the completed form to the local jurisdictions for approval.

This license is valid from the date issued to January 31 of the subsequent year.
