The WSP links its Web site to other Web sites of organizations that have information supporting the WSP mission. Generally, links are not provided to commercial or personal Web sites or other organizations, unless a specific purpose is defined. Link requests will be reviewed by sending your URL information to the WSP Webmaster.

The WSP recognizes that external content may be placed upon publicly accessible Web pages. The WSP does not intend that its Web pages be open public forums, but is in favor of links to other sites providing government information and applicable services for the public. External content on Web pages operated by the WSP will be permitted at the WSP’s sole discretion. External content means content that is provided by non-governmental entities and includes advertisements and sponsorships.

Generally, external content does not meet the purposes of the WSP Web site if the content contains, suggests, or infers any of the items below. This list is non-exclusive.

  • Advocacy of or opposition to any political, environmental, religious, or socially controversial subjects, issues, or candidates.
  • Disparaging or promoting any person or class of persons.
  • Material not suitable for readers or viewers of all ages.
  • Promoting or inciting illegal, violent, or socially undesirable conduct.
  • Promotion or availability of alcohol or tobacco products.
  • Promotion or availability of illegal drugs.
  • Promotion or availability of adult or sexually oriented entertainment or materials.
  • Promotion, opposition, or availability of weapons.
  • Promotion, opposition, or availability of gambling.
  • Claims of efficacy, suitability, desirability, or other non-objective statements about businesses, products, or services.
  • Content that infringes on any trademark, copyright, or patent rights of another.
  • Content that a reasonable citizen may not consider to maintain the dignity and decorum appropriate for government.

The WSP Webmaster shall establish procedures to monitor the implementation and continuing oversight of this policy. These procedures shall include:

  • A process for review of all new requests for external content links to and from a WSP Web page to another page to ensure compliance with this policy prior to granting the request; and
  • A quarterly review of not less than ten (10) percent or a quantity of fifty (50) of the then-current direct external control links for each WSP internet property, whichever is less, to ensure that such links still comply with this policy.

This policy applies to all WSP Web sites.
