Vancouver, WA – On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at approximately 11:27 pm, a shooting occurred eastbound State Route 14, between Evergreen Boulevard and Lieser Road. Jessyca Sweeten was driving a red Subaru Impreza, east on State Route 14, when the vehicle was struck by a bullet just above the driver’s door. The bullet shattered the window, sending debris into her face. Mrs. Sweeten was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest for facial injuries.
An analysis of the vehicle was conducted by the WSP Crime Laboratory in Vancouver and able to confirm the vehicle had been struck with a bullet through forensic analysis on Friday, July 26, 2019.
