Summary: Graduation ceremonies for Washington State Patrol’s 112th Trooper Basic Training Class will be held March 12th and 13th. The formal graduation/commissioning ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday the 13th in the Capitol Rotunda in Olympia. (A separate Badge Pinning Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday morning at the WSP Academy in Shelton – more details below.)

- WSP will live-stream the graduation/commissioning event on Facebook as well as Twitter starting at 2:00 PM PST.

THURSDAY, MARCH 12th
112th TBTC Badge Ceremony – 10:00 AM (WSP Academy – Gymnasium)
Family and friends of the Washington State Patrol’s 112th Trooper Basic Training Class will participate in the official badge ceremony. Each member of the class will receive their badge and have it pinned on by a family member. This traditional ceremony takes place at the WSP Academy’s gymnasium in Shelton, WA.
112th TBTC Graduation Open House – 1:00 PM (WSP Academy – Gymnasium)
An open house/reception honoring the 112th Trooper Basic Training Class will be held at the Academy’s gymnasium. Chief John Batiste will speak and will present class awards during the ceremony. Awards presented are Top Driving Award, Top Firearms Award, Top Physical Fitness/Top Control Tactics Award, Top Academic Award, Top Collision Investigation Award, and Top Overall Cadet Award.
FRIDAY, MARCH 13th
112th TBTC Cadet Arrival – 12:30 PM (Capitol Campus – North Diagonal)
Members of the 112th Trooper Basic Training Class will arrive at the Capitol Campus in a unique and tradition-rich procession. The formal entrance starts on the North Diagonal as cadets arrive in their patrol cars, and stand in formation before marching in formation to the capitol steps.
112th TBTC Graduation/Commissioning Ceremonies – 2:00 PM (Legislative Building, Rotunda)
After completing more than 1,000 hours of training, these men and women will join Washington’s premier law enforcement organization. Governor Jay Inslee and Chief John Batiste will present the commission cards.
