Arrest Made in Connection with January 6th Protests at the Capitol Campus

Seattle – On January 19, 2021, The Washington State Patrol with the assistance of Seattle Police, arrested 26 year old Seattle resident Damon Huseman. He was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree, Felony Harassment and Criminal Trespass in connection with events that occurred on January 6th. The charges stem in part from his participation in the breach at the Governor’s Mansion and other incidents in relation to the protest that day.

Mr. Huseman was taken into custody without incident and is being booked into the Thurston County Jail on the above charges. More details about the arrest and investigation will be provided during the 10 a.m. press briefing at the Capitol Campus on Wednesday January 20, 2021. The briefing will be held in front of the Helen Sommers Building at 11th and Capitol in Olympia.
