Disabled Vehicle Leads To A Homicide Investigation

King County: Just before 2:00 am this morning June 26, 2021, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting a disabled vehicle on the ramp from Michigan St. to NB I-5 blocking the HOV lane.

WSP troopers and Seattle Police (SPD) officers arrived and determined that the driver of the vehicle had sustained a gunshot wound and was deceased. Containment was established and an SPD K-9 track was unsuccessful.

WSP detectives are investigating this as a homicide and are asking for anyone with information about this crime to contact Detective Ruth Medeiros at (253)-377-5010.
