WSP Detectives Seeking Witnesses to Serious Injury Trooper Collision

PUYALLUP – The Washington State Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating a serious injury collision involving a Washington State Trooper and a commercial vehicle. The collision occurred at the intersection of N. Meridian and State Route 167 (River Road / 2nd St NE) within the city limits of Puyallup at approximately 1:21 a.m. on Friday, March 11th, 2022. The collision resulted in a vehicle fire in the Trooper’s Dodge Charger and serious injuries to the Trooper. Multiple Good Samaritans removed the Trooper from the burning vehicle to safety.

WSP MAIT detectives are examining all aspects that led to this collision and are seeking additional witnesses that may have information.
