SPANAWAY – A man sustained fatal injuries when he became the victim of a hit-and-run collision. WSP detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and driver.

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, at approximately 12:54 AM, a beige 2006 Saturn Ion struck a man crossing the southbound lanes of State Route 7 at Field Rd E in Spanaway. The driver of the Saturn stopped at the scene. Seconds later, a second vehicle struck the man, failed to stop, and continued southbound on State Route 7.

While currently unable to determine any identifying information regarding the running vehicle, damage to its lower front area can likely be observed. According to WSP detectives, another car was behind the running vehicle when it struck the man, but its driver did not remain at the scene to provide a statement.

WSP detectives request the driver of that car or anyone with additional information regarding the running vehicle and its driver to contact Det. Brooke Bova at 360-701-8284
or Brooke.Bova@wsp.wa.gov.
