King County: At approximately 4:30 am yesterday, October 3, 2022, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received 9-1-1 calls reporting a serious collision SB I-5 near the Boeing Access Road.

Once troopers arrived they found a Toyota Prius and Camry with heavy damage blocking a couple lanes of the mainline of SB I-5.  The third and causing vehicle, a BMW X5 had taken the exit, hitting a pole and ending up in the ditch.

Witnesses advised that BMW was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed on SB I-5 and possible racing another vehicle.  The BMW initially struck the red Toyota Camry causing it to spin and strike a light blue Toyota Prius.  It was also reported that once the BMW took the exit and ended up in the ditch a dark colored Honda Civic picked up the occupants and fled the scene.

The driver of the Toyota Camry sustained lacerations to the face and a broken jaw and due to the injuries the driver of the BMW is being sought for Felony Hit and Run. The BMW was also a stolen vehicle.

WSP detectives are seeking anyone that witnessed this collision or has information on the identity of the occupants of the BMW.  Please contact Detective Early at Todd.Early@wsp.wa.gov.
