WSP Seeks Assistance Locating Hit and Run Suspect

Puyallup, Wash. – A 58-year-old Puyallup man sustained serious injuries after being involved in a hit and run collision near Puyallup. Washington State Patrol (WSP) detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the fleeing driver.

The man was driving a red Toyota Camry northbound on River Road (state Route 167) in the right lane just north of Gay Road at approximately 10:51 p.m. on June 6, 2023.

A white Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound on River Road and crossed over the two way center turn lane into the left lane of northbound River Road. The driver of the Tacoma struck a silver Toyota Highlander traveling northbound.

The Highlander came to rest in the right lane, where it was struck by the Puyallup man’s Toyota Camry. The Tacoma came to rest just south of the collision scene in the right lane of southbound River Road. The driver of the Tacoma fled the scene without contacting the other involved drivers.

Witnesses have been unable to provide investigators with any information about the fleeing driver.
