Washington State Patrol Is Prepared For All Star Weekend

WSP Media Release Cover

July 7, 2023

King County: It is finally here!  The long awaited MLB All-Star weekend that will bring large crowds to King County and the Seattle metro area.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) would like to remind drivers to expect heavy traffic in and out of Seattle affecting all of the surrounding freeways. Pack patience and expect longer travel times.

In preparation the WSP has implemented mandatory work days Saturday through Tuesday for troopers assigned to District 2, King County.  Troopers will be performing their normal duties and also will be ready to respond to any significant incidents that may occur.

The WSP also would like to echo the advice of our partners to use public transportation in order to decrease congestion as much as possible.

Most of all, have fun and be safe throughout the festivities that will occur during the next few days!
