WSP needs your assistance locating witnesses

Toppenish, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking the public’s help locating information and witnesses of a hit and run collision that occurred in Toppenish on Friday, July 14th, 2023.

The vehicle vs. pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 4:20 a.m. on July 14th, 2023, on State Route 97 at the intersection of Fort Road. The running vehicle was traveling northbound on State Route 97. The pedestrian was traveling from west to east across State Route 97 utilizing the crosswalk on the north side of the intersection.

The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The vehicle and driver are still unknown.

The WSP is seeking for any additional witnesses who may have seen or have information regarding the collision.
