WSP seeks assistance in hit-and-run investigation near Graham

GRAHAM, WA – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking the public’s help in locating witnesses of a hit-and-run collision killed a 68-year-old man near Graham last weekend.

The 68-year-old man was attempting to walk across Meridian Avenue (state Route 161) at 196th Street court East at around 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, when he was struck by a black pickup truck.

The truck, described as a black 2004 to 2008 Lincoln Mark LT, stopped at the scene. Witnesses observed a man get out of the vehicle, then quickly return to the pickup and flee the area.

The 68-year-old man was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives located and impounded the pickup, a black 2006 Lincoln Mark LT, on Sept. 7. Detectives are still seeking additional information from potential witnesses.
