WSP Seeking Witnesses in Road Rage Shooting

Seattle, Wash – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking witnesses with information about a road rage incident that lead to a shooting on November 12, 2023. The incident started on city streets in Seattle around 1:00 pm and ended on eastbound I-90 at Rainier Ave.

The incident began near the International District in Seattle when a Ford Explorer cut off a silver Mercedes. The Explorer and Mercedes continued onto eastbound I-90 near Rainier Ave. The driver of the Mercedes then shot multiple rounds at the Ford Explorer, striking it multiple times. The Mercedes then fled the scene and exited I-90 to Rainier Ave.

The driver of the Mercedes was described as a heavy-set older black male with glasses with long brown and blond dreadlocks. The wheels on the Mercedes were described as “bright silver and very spikey.” The Mercedes was also missing the rear license plate. Please see pictures below of the Mercedes.

Luckily there were no injuries resulting from the shooting.
