WSP Investigation into Death of Evergreen Student Continues Second Hospitalized Student Released

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) continues our investigation into the death of an Evergreen State College student.

The 21-year-old Dupont, Wash., man was tragically found deceased in a campus apartment Monday night. Two additional students were transported to local hospitals with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.

As of 1:15 pm today, both students originally transported from the scene have been discharged from the hospital. We are heartened by the release of all parties from hospitalization and wish all a full and speedy recovery.

The investigation into the root cause of this tragic incident remains ongoing. WSP recognizes the significant public interest in the investigation’s completion and will share our findings as soon as we are able to do so.
