King County: At approximately 12:55am on Sunday, January 7, 2024, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 called advising that a scooter was struck on EB SR 523 (NE 145th).
When troopers arrived, it was determined that a black vehicle struck the scooter as they were traveling eastbound on NE 145th and fled the scene. A mirror from the vehicle was found at the scene and it was determined it was from a 2001-2007 Toyota Highlander.
The victim sustained a broken arm and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Due to the injuries this collision is being investigated as a Felony Hit and Run.
