Detectives Seeking Witnesses To A Wrong Way Collision On SR 167

King County: At approximately 2:15am, Sunday, January 21, 2024, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting a collision NB SR 167 near 180th.

Once troopers arrived and spoke with a witness it was determined that the causing vehicle entered NB SR 167 from 180th traveling the wrong way. The wrong way vehicle was described as a Ford Mustang and ended up colliding with another vehicle.

Troopers determined the wrong way driver was impaired and he was placed in custody for investigation of Vehicular Assault due to the victim driver sustaining serious injuries.

The causing driver was identified as 20-year-old Cesar Said Ramos Mejia who was booked into the King County Jail.

WSP detectives are seeking to talk to any witnesses from this collision to include those that stopped at the scene that morning and spoke with troopers. Please email Detective Haake at Russ.Haake@wsp.wa.gov.
