WSP Seeking Witnesses of Lacey Hit-and-Run Collision

LACEY, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking witnesses of a hit-and-run collision that left one driver seriously injured in Lacey Monday afternoon.

The collision occurred at around 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 22. A silver SUV or pickup truck was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 near Marvin Road when the driver changed lanes, striking a grey Chrysler 200. The Chrysler was pushed into another southbound pickup truck before losing control, crossing the median, and hitting two additional northbound vehicles.

A driver of one of the northbound vehicles was transported to an area hospital with facial lacerations.

Investigators have not been able to obtain any details that would lead to identifying the driver of the fleeing silver vehicle. Anyone who may have more information about the fleeing vehicle or driver is asked to contact Detective Kevin Pratt at (253) 538-3173.
