WSP Seeks Witnesses to Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash

Spanaway, Wash. – Washington State Patrol (WSP) detectives are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on State Route 7 in Spanaway.

Just after 8 p.m. on June 19th, 2024, a white passenger car headed north on State Route (SR) 7 near 204th Street East struck a pedestrian that was walking on the northbound shoulder. After hitting the pedestrian, the car fled the scene, continuing north on SR 7.

Detectives, with the help of witnesses on scene and security camera footage, have identified the fleeing vehicle as a white 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla (pictured below), which would likely have damage to the front bumper and hood.

Investigators are asking anyone with information that may lead to locating the Corolla and identifying its driver to contact Detective Travis Calton at (360) 918-4032.
