Information Needed On A Drive By Shooting On SR 599

July 11, 2024

King County: At approximately 4:15pm on July 8, 2024, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call from an individual that advised he had just witnessed the driver of a vehicle firing a weapon SB SR 599 near the exit to International Blvd.

The witness described the vehicle as a white Mini Cooper with light skin driver, firing a silver pistol. He also explained that a Chevy Tahoe pulled over and may have been hit with the gunfire.

Trooper responded and contacted the Tahoe and the driver stated they had a flat tire and had no idea that there had been a shooting in the area. Detectives believe the tire was likely struck by the gunfire causing it to go flat. The driver did not sustain any injuries.

Below are two pictures of the suspect vehicle provided by the witness.

Detectives are seeking information that would help identify the suspect vehicle and driver. Please email Detective Olsen at Franklin.Olsen@wsp.wa.gov or Trooper Johnson at Rick.Johnson@wsp.wa.gov.
