WSP seeking witnesses to a felony hit-and-run collision

NOOKSACK, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is actively investigating a serious injury hit and- run collision that occurred at 3:52 p.m. on August 17, 2024, on state Route 542 near Uphill Dr (milepost 24.)

An unknown vehicle was eastbound on state Route 542 near milepost 24. The orange 2024 Harley- Davidson motorcycle was westbound on state Route 542 near milepost 24. The unknown vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the motorcycle. The motorcycle came to rest on the eastbound shoulder. The unknown vehicle fled the scene continuing eastbound on state Route 542.

WSP detectives are looking for a 2015-2021 white Nissan Murano as a vehicle of interest. The Murano will have passenger side damage near the front wheel and possibly damage to the passenger side mirror.
