Find a Port of Entry

The Washington State Patrol is responsible to enforce commercial motor vehicle laws relating to size, weight, load, and safety requirements on all Interstate and State Routes. These law enforcement efforts help drive the agency’s mission to reduce the number of serious injury and fatality collisions involving commercial vehicles.

Trucks entering Washington are required to have permits at the border. Commercial vehicles that arrive at a Port of Entry without a proper permit will be placed out of service.
