King County: At approximately 1:25am on August 22, 2026, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received 9-1-1 calls advising of a serious collision involving a motorcycle on SR 99 near 14th Ave S.
Once troopers arrived, they observed the rider on the ground with a tourniquet that was applied by a witness. The witnesses reported that the motorcycle was traveling NB SR 99 when an unknown vehicle struck the back causing the motorcycle to go down. The causing vehicle fled the scene after the collision. There is evidence indicating that a vehicle struck the cable barrier, but it is unknown if that is the vehicle that struck the motorcycle.
The rider was transported to Harborview in serious condition.
