King County: At approximately 4:50pm on August 23, 2026, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call from an individual stating that they were shot at by another vehicle on SB I-5.
Once troopers contacted the victim they observed that a bullet had pierced the front passenger door and lodged in passenger seat. The victim was driving a black Ford Raptor. The one-sided road rage incident started EB SR 518 to SB I-5 with the suspect driving a Kia Spectra. The suspect continued driving aggressively and when the vehicles were in the area of SB I-5 near S. 216th the driver of the suspect vehicle fired one shot at the victim. The driver was described at a black male with a black female in the passenger seat. The suspect continued SB I-5 at a high rate.
