Overview
The Washington State Fire Training Division provides training to the Washington State fire service through the operation of the Washington State Fire Training Academy in North Bend, WA and regional delivery of recruit academies and training courses across the state of Washington. The Fire Training Academy hosts a variety of other training, related to law enforcement, military, general industry and research and development.

Successes of 2019
The Washington State Fire Training Academy was under limited operation in 2019 due to a significant infrastructure improvement project. During this past year the Fire Training Academy began the construction of a major project (construction of a major project OR major projects) to improve the training water treatment system. This project will improve the water quality of the training water utilized for live fire training at the Academy. This system is the first project of many new improvements to come (in accordance to the WSP-Fire Training Academy Master Plan).
The Regional Direct Delivery program successfully delivered two regional recruit academies across the state of Washington.
