Graduation ceremonies for Washington State Patrol’s 111th Trooper Basic Training Class will be held June 25 and 26. The formal graduation/commissioning ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday the 26th in the Capitol Rotunda in Olympia. (A separate Badge Pinning Ceremony will be held Tuesday morning 10:00 AM at the WSP Academy in Shelton – more details below.)

TUESDAY, JUNE 25th 111th TBTC Badge Ceremony – 10:00 AM (WSP Academy – Gymnasium)
Family and friends of the Washington State Patrol’s 111th Trooper Basic Training Class will participate in the official badge ceremony. Each member of the class will receive their badge and have it pinned on by a family member. This traditional ceremony takes place at the WSP Academy’s gymnasium in Shelton, WA.
111th TBTC Graduation Open House – 1:00 PM (WSP Academy – Gymnasium)
An open house/reception honoring the 111th Trooper Basic Training Class will be held at the Academy’s gymnasium. Chief John Batiste will speak and will present class awards during the ceremony. Awards presented are Top Driving Award, Top Firearms Award, Top Physical Fitness/Top Control Tactics Award, Top Academic Award, Top Collision Investigation Award, and Top Overall Cadet Award.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26TH 111th TBTC Cadet Arrival – 12:00 PM (Capitol Campus – North Diagonal)
Members of the 111th Trooper Basic Training Class will arrive at the Capitol Campus in a unique and traditionrich procession. The formal entrance starts on the North Diagonal as cadets arrive in their patrol car, and stand in formation before marching in formation to the capitol steps.
111th TBTC Graduation/Commissioning Ceremonies – 2:00 PM (Legislative Building, Rotunda)
After completing more than 1,000 hours of training, these men and women will join Washington’s premier law enforcement organization. State Attorney General Bob Ferguson and Chief Batiste will present the commission cards.
