Olympia – Washington State Patrol (WSP) detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after a citizen found a person that appeared deceased beside Capitol Lake on Deschutes Parkway. Olympia Fire, Olympia PD and WSP troopers responded to the area between 5th Ave. and Marathon Park where they found an individual who was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is in the preliminary stages and few details are available at this time.
If anyone has information or was in the area of Deschutes Parkway between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on November 2, 2019 they should contact detectives through email at sistips@wsp.wa.gov .
