North Bend, WA – The Washington State Patrol’s Fire Training Academy in North Bend has been designated a quarantine site for travelers from the Hubei Province in China who are not able to self-quarantine at home.
Media representatives are invited to tour appropriate areas of the Fire Training Academy at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6th (assuming there are no patients already quarantined at the facility.)
Respecting the privacy rights of those in medical need must be one of our top priorities. With that in mind, this will be the only planned media access to the facility.

Media is advised that there are regularly heavy snows in the area and all should travel with vehicles outfitted as conditions demand. Should weather or other factors necessitate a change in plans, WSP will notify through a press alert and social media by 8:00 a.m. the morning of the tour.
