WSP Graduates Legacy Troopers with 112th TBTC, including daughter of fallen officer

Reminder: Graduation ceremonies for Washington State Patrol’s 112th Trooper Basic Training Class will be held March 12th and 13thThe formal graduation/commissioning ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday the 13th in the Capitol Rotunda in Olympia. (A separate Badge Pinning Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday morning at the WSP Academy in Shelton. See our previous press release for more detail).

We are always looking for new Troopers of various backgrounds, yet acknowledge those who come from law enforcement families. In this graduating class, the following new Troopers have family ties to law enforcement:

New Troopers Travis Brawdy, Robert Dierks, Tyler Fryberger, Emily Hanger, Brianne Patoc, Bennie Taylor, and Spike Unruh all have family ties to the Washington State Patrol. Trooper Cadet Emily Hanger’s father, Detective Brent Hanger, was our last officer to die in the line of duty on August 6, 2015.
