Skagit County – At approximately 2:20a.m.this morning, May 26, 2020, Washington State Patrol (WSP) received reports of a person laying in the lanes of northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) near Blackburn Road. The person had been struck by multiple vehicles and unfortunately died at the scene.
WSP detectives are asking for anyone who saw a pedestrian on the Blackburn Road overpass or believe they struck an item that was in the roadway around 2:20a.m. to please contact Detective Charles Sletten at (360) 654-1144 or Charles.Sletten@wsp.wa.gov.
