Stevens Pass No Parking Tow Away Zones

WSP Media Release Cover

December 01, 2020 –

The Washington State Patrol wants to remind drivers, State Route 2 between mileposts 58.50 to 66.44 on both sides of Stevens Pass, parking is prohibited between the dates of November 1 to April 1.

When the parking lots at Stevens Pass Ski Area fill up, drivers have resorted to parking along the highway. This also includes others recreating and improperly parking in “Tow Away Zones.” This practice interferes with winter snow removal and avalanche control operations, endangers highway maintenance personnel and is hazardous to skiers and highway users. Additional “Tow Away Zones” signs have been placed along the corridor to help indicate the tow zones and gain compliance by motorist.

The Washington State Patrol will take appropriate enforcement in Tow away zones.
