WSP Seeking Witnesses To A Road Rage Shooting On SB I-5

King County: At approximately 1:45pm on April 9, 2022, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call from a driver indicating they were shot at from another vehicle SB I-5 just south of the Boeing Access road.

The victim advised he was driving a silver Chevrolet Cruze and became involved in an aggressive driving incident with a newer model royal blue 2-door Audi hardtop.  The male driver of the Audi pulled up alongside the victim vehicle and fired several shots from a black handgun.  The victim also observed a female in the passenger seat.

The victim advised that his vehicle was not struck by the gunfire and requested contact by a trooper. Once contacted troopers examined the victim’s vehicle to confirm it was not struck and took a statement from the driver.

WSP detectives are seeking any witnesses to this shooting or anyone with information that can help identify the suspect vehicle and occupants.  Please contact Trooper Olsen at Franklin.Olsen@wsp.wa.gov.
