This weekend May 14th-15th Fairchild Air Force Base will be hosting Skyfest, which includes performances by the legendary USAF Thunderbirds.
TRAFFIC ALERT; This will impact the area on SR2 in the vicinity of Fairchild Air Force Base. Travelers should give plenty of time, and expect longer than usual delays between the hours of 9:00 AM- 6:30PM around the Fairchild. Washington State Troopers will be in the area assisting with traffic control along with partners from Department of transportation. Extra enforcement patrols will be in the area throughout the weekend.
The Washington State Patrol will have representatives from the Aviation division as well as recruiting booth set up inside the event at Skyfest, please come take a look if out at the show and say hi!
