King County: At approximately 11:45 pm on August 8, 2022, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call from a victim stating that they were shot at by another vehicle NB I-5 near the Albro St. exit.

Troopers contacted the victim at the Goodwill parking lot off the Dearborn exit and were able to confirm that the victim’s vehicle was struck. The victim was driving an older white Ford van and indicated they were traveling NB I-5 when a dark colored sedan passed them and fired four rounds at his van.  The suspect vehicle sped away possibly with two other vehicles and the victim exited the freeway to wait for contact by troopers.  The victim suffered a superficial wound to his right elbow and was treated at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department.

WSP detectives are seeking anyone that may have witnessed this shooting and can provide information on the suspect vehicle to email Detective Early at todd.early@wsp.wa.gov.
