WSP seeking witnesses and in-car video to fatality motorcycle collision

Bellingham, WA – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is actively investigating a fatality hit-and-run motorcycle collision that occurred at approximately 9:01 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2022, in the area of northbound Interstate 5 just south of Lakeway Drive.

The motorcycle, 2021 black and orange Harley Davidson FXBBS, was struck by an unknown vehicle causing the rider to be ejected. The unknown vehicle continued in an unknown direction. At this time there have been no witnesses to this collision that have provided any description on the running vehicle.

If you or someone you know may have witnessed the collision or have any information about the involved vehicle, please call or email Detective Jeff Rhue at (360) 654-1140 or Jeff.Rhue@wsp.wa.gov. WSP detectives also request any in-car dash camera footage from anyone who went through the area around the time of the collision. Your assistance is appreciated as we work to locate the running vehicle.
