Gold Bar, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is actively investigating a drive by shooting that occurred approximately between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2023, in the area state Route 2 and Reiter Road (milepost 30).
The incident involved a man riding a dirt bike westbound on SR 2 from Forest Service Road #62 (milepost 33.56). He allegedly fired a single round from a handgun at the intersection of westbound SR 2 and Reiter Road, striking the back of a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses describe the rider as a male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, pants and a helmet. Witnesses could not provide a description of the dirt bike or whether there was a license plate on the dirt bike.
