King County: Just after 8:00pm last night, July 7, 2023, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call stating that their brother was shot as they were driving SB I-5 near SR 900 and they were at the Chevron station off of the freeway.
Tukwila PD and troopers responded to the scene and discovered a light blue Toyota Camry with multiple bullet holes with the driver suffering from gunshot wounds. The driver was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The passenger of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Further investigation revealed that this vehicle was traveling SB I-5 approaching SR 900 when what was described as possibly a white Toyota Camry pulled alongside and the right front passenger and right rear passenger opened fire striking the vehicle several times.
Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking anyone with information on this drive by shooting. Email Detective Early at Todd.Early@wsp.wa.gov with any information on the suspect or suspect vehicle.
