Fife, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking witnesses of a shooting that occurred on northbound Interstate 5 near Port of Tacoma Road on Wednesday Morning.
The victim was driving a black Ford Focus in the right lane of northbound Interstate 5 near Port of Tacoma Road just before 1 a.m. on July 12, 2023. A maroon passenger car with tinted windows passed the victim in the HOV lane. As it passed, an occupant of the vehicle shot at the victim. The maroon car then fled northbound. A bullet was found embedded in the victim driver’s door.
Thankfully no one was injured in this incident.
Witnesses have been unable to provide investigators with any further details about the suspect and their vehicle.
