EVERETT, Wash. – The procession and memorial services for fallen Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Christopher M. Gadd #927 have been finalized, with the events taking place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Everett, Wash. Trooper Gadd will be afforded full formal law enforcement honors, with the public ceremony being viewable by local news stations and on the WSP YouTube Channel.
PROCESSION:

Departure time: 11 a.m. (estimated)
Procession route:
• START at Tulalip Resort Casino gravel parking lot (27th Avenue / George S. Williams Senior Avenue Northeast)
• Merge onto southbound Interstate 5 from 88th Street / Quil Ceda Way
• Exit Interstate 5 at Exit #194 (Everett Avenue)
• Stay right at Everett Avenue City Center
• Turn right onto Everett Avenue
• Turn right on Broadway
• Exit onto Marine View Drive
• Left on East Marine View Drive
• Left on Hewett
• ARRIVE at Angel of the Winds Arena
Suggested Media Viewing Locations:
• American Legion Memorial Park (procession moving along Marine View Drive)
• Grand Avenue Park Bridge (area of the pedestrian overpass)
• Hibulb Lookout (procession moving along Marine View Drive)
Details: The ceremonial procession will begin at the Tulalip Resort and Casino and end at the Angel of the Winds Arena ahead of the 1 p.m. memorial service. All times are tentative and subject to change due to logistics and/or traffic. There are expected to be law enforcement marine units in the bay along Marine View Drive as the procession moves past.

Memorial Video Information: There will be a 9 minute, 55 second memorial video will not be aired on the live stream during the ceremony per the family’s request. The cameras streaming during the event will focus on stationary items on the stage during the duration of the video. For media partners who wish to have some filler during this time, please refer to this Dropbox link for content that has been approved by the family for use.
Additional Memorial Details: The memorial service is open to the public, with doors opening to the arena at noon. There is a designated media seating area in Section 103. Only family designated photographers are allowed on the floor to document the event (designated by white or dark gray vests with lanyard identification). All other media personnel are asked to remain in the designated media area. A link with photos from the service will be provided to our media partners shortly after the service via e-mail.
