King County: At approximately 6:30pm yesterday evening, October 30, 2024, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received a 9-1-1 call reporting that a car / pedestrian collision occurred eastbound SR 523 near Stone Ave.
Upon arriving, troopers found a 23-year-old female in lane 2 of the westbound lanes of SR 523 who was sadly deceased.
Through the investigation it was discovered that the victim was attempting to cross the road at which time a vehicle traveling eastbound SR 523 in lane 2 came to a stop to allow the pedestrian to cross. A black 2007 GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound in lane 1 and struck the victim. The GMC continued without stopping.
WSP detectives are seeking any information that would lead to the location of the GMC and who was in the vehicle at the time of the fatal collision. The GMC will have front end damage bears Washington License Plate BIS1792. If located call 9-1-1 immediately. DO NOT approach.
