Wenatchee – The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is proud to announce the 2018 District 6 Trooper of the Year, Trooper Jeremy Weber of Wenatchee. Trooper Weber was nominated as the District 6 Trooper of The Year by Sergeant Ryan Raymond and was selected by the District Awards Committee. District 6 serves Okanogan, Chelan, Douglas, Kittitas and Grant Counties.
Trooper Weber understands and supports the importance of Target Zero, which strives to have zero traffic related fatalities by 2030. Trooper Weber is one of the leaders in District 6 DUI apprehension, criminal arrests and seat belt enforcement. He is a certified child car seat technician and an Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) driving instructor. He also serves as a member of District 6’s Public Information Officer (PIO) and Recruiting team.
Trooper Weber received recognition for his exceptional work on four different occasions for his DUI enforcement with multiple arrests in a single shift. This showed a consistent effort by Trooper Weber throughout the year. His efforts resulted in him being nominated and selected as the 2018 Wenatchee Valley Target Zero “Top DUI Officer” for the WSP.
Trooper Weber takes pride in his team and focuses on setting daily goals with his teammates to include working small scale emphasis patrols. He’s attentive to the needs of the APA and when and where the team should be focusing their efforts on a given work day.
Trooper Weber was hired by the WSP in July, 2011 and commissioned in December, 2012. Trooper Weber continues to exemplify the qualities and characteristics the State Patrol prides itself on.
Congratulations to Trooper Jeremy Weber for being selected as the Washington State Patrol’s District 6 Trooper of the Year.
