This page is used to communicate with employees during times of emergency. There are currently no emergency notifications to share with employees at this time. If this were an emergency, the page would be updated to reflect current information.
— END OF MESSAGE —
The safety and security of our employees is of the utmost importance. Please do all that you can to be prepared for weather conditions at home and on the road. For additional information on how to get prepared, visit ready.gov/winter-weather.
Employees are also reminded that the WSP Employee Notification System provides information to employees during emergencies, inclement weather, or other situations. Since many events (snow storms, floods, etc.) occur outside of normal business hours, the agency has two ways for employees to check for information on a building status or other key messaging. They are as follows:
- Employee Notification Hotline:
Call toll-free 1-844-447-1447 to hear an outgoing message. This message will be similar to any information posted on the Employee Notification Website. This hotline will not allow employees to leave messages on this number. - Emergency Notifications section of the WSP’s Employee Resource webpage in the event of inclement weather or other emergencies.
If employees report to work late as a result of inclement weather conditions, up to one hour of paid time is allowed (TAR 9021).
It is important that all employees be familiar with the agency’s regulation (11.09.010-General Leave), Civil Service Rules WAC 357-31-255, or collective bargaining agreements, which cover the order and the types of leave, paid or unpaid, that can be taken under inclement weather conditions.
