The Washington State Patrol uses a statewide email list to distribute information to the public and media services. Below is a list of the current topics you may sign up for:

AMBER Alerts
Subscribers to the Washington State AMBER-ALERT list will receive all AMBER alerts issued within Washington State. All AMBER alerts are statewide by default. By subscribing to this list you will receive an email with all information, photos and maps available about the incident.

EMPAs
Endangered Missing Persons Advisories can be sent statewide or regionally. By subscribing to this list you will receive ALL EMPA’s issued within Washington State to include any photographs or maps available. There is currently no way to geographically target email lists based on incident location.

Silver Alerts
Silver Alerts are issued for anyone 60 and over and suffering from dementia. The alerts will be issued as Endangered Missing Persons Advisories but will have the Silver Alert designation within the description.

Missing Indigenous Person Alert
Subscribers will receive information about missing persons who are in danger and not able to return to safety without assistance and have been identified as Indigenous or American Indian/Alaska Native. This list will receive information regarding anyone missing under this criteria statewide.

The Milepost Newsletter
The Milepost is an inter-agency newsletter aimed at highlighting the hard work of those throughout the Washington State Patrol.

Statewide & District Media Releases
Media Releases are sent to highlight an important event, program, or piece of information.

Statewide & District Press Memos
Press Memos are sent much more frequently than Media Releases and contain information regarding specific collisions.

State Fire Marshal Information
Information regarding fire safe cigarettes, fireworks licensing, hazmat & special ops, regional training, fire sprinkler licensing, evaluators, and safety officers.

Rules Development
This list is for those interested in rules the agency administers under the Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

If you would like to unsubscribe from a list, please send an email to listserv@listserv.wsp.wa.gov with the word “signoff” followed by the list name in the body of the email.
