The Apple Acres Fire started on July 2, 2025, at approximately 3:28 p.m. This fire is estimated at 2,000 acres and growing. It is burning in grass and sage brush and is threatening homes and infrastructure. Level 2 evacuations are in effect at this time. The fire cause is currently under investigation.

The State Emergency Operations Center at Camp Murray is activated to Level 3 monitoring, to help coordinate state assistance for the Apple Acres Fire.
