Clark County, Wash. – On Tuesday, July 15th, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) conducted an emphasis patrol informed by agency-driven data identifying peak collision times and days. By strategically deploying our resources, we focused enforcement on collision-related violations over a targeted several-hour period.

Our efforts included support from the Target Zero Team (TZT), Motors Unit, Commercial Vehicle Division, and traffic safety overtime personnel, all working proactively across Clark County.

 Patrol Outcomes:

  • Vehicles Stopped: 97
  • Total Violations: 113
  • Violation Types: Speeding, improper lane usage, use of electronic devices, and failure to wear safety belts—just to name a few.
  • Commercial Vehicles: 8 Commercial Motor Vehicles were stopped and subsequently inspected for violations.

A total of 15 WSP units participated in the emphasis patrol, reinforcing a strong and coordinated effort to improve traffic safety and reduce collision-related violations across the region.
