Summary:      The Washington State Patrol Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit (MUPU) is holding the 1st Annual Washington State Missing Persons Day.  We encourage family members and loved ones of missing persons to come out and share a day of awareness.  We are also providing families with the ability to check on the status of their loved one’s missing person report with law enforcement.  If the report is entered into the appropriate systems we will have staff on hand to obtain family reference DNA for entry into the national system to compare against any unidentified persons recovered in the US.

We will also be providing free Child Fingerprint ID Kits to parents.  The WSP MUPU will have child safety information as well as information on what the MUPU can do to assist both law enforcement and families in the event a loved one goes missing.
